Here in Milwaukee, it has been snowing like crazy all day!
I prepared this food to head over to Tommy’s friends’ house for their Super Bowl/Housewarming Party, and now it’s our dinner… And probably will be for a few days!
We have organic red and green peppers and cucumber slices, as well as homemade sweet potato chips to dip in some Whole Foods Guac-Kale-Mole and salsa, as well as these delicious meatballs (recipe from Nom Nom Paleo). They are so delicious!
I did my workout earlier today, but since Tommy only did abs with me. we thought we’d make our own Super Bowl workout. It’s never too late to start it!
Here’s what we’ve got:
I’m already doing push-ups on my knees, and we’ve found that’s a lot of frog stretching, so you can stretch whatever needs stretching, or just use that time to wander around (perhaps over to the meatballs? haha).
I think I am going to have to do something like this again next year – it’s fun!
We aren’t drinking right now, since Tommy is doing the Whole 30 and I am experimenting with carb cycling, so I will be enjoying a KeVita and Tommy another sugar-free Kombucha later. And for dessert, he will be enjoying a Larabar when I have a chocolate and peanut butter Shakeology – yummy!
I never imagined I’d be living a life where I hear Tommy yell “John Travolta!” from the other room, and I immediately stretch my hip flexor, but I must say that I love it! Haha! 😉

For other great Super Bowl and other party fitness tips, check out Chalene Johnson’s podcast entitled “Football Makes You Fat!” I enjoyed a lot of the tips, aside from the ideas of fat avoidance! Ok, I am sure I have more pushups to do soon!
Comment below with how you’re spending (or spent, if it’s after) your Super Bowl Sunday!
Come on Seahawks, I want to do some hip thrusters!
