Hello! Hope you had a great weekend and are enjoying the podcasts! Here’s the Bold Moves Podcast Episode Three – Sherown Campbell! I promise, my blog has not turned into 100% podcast city. I sort of launched it relatively suddenly (though late – to my own self-imposed deadline – more on that in another blog), and haven’t had time to produce much more content aside from the podcasts and blogs associated with them! But, I promise you – there are more coming. Hopefully you don’t get sick of me! I know one person I don’t think you’ll get sick of – the guest for Bold Moves Podcast Episode Three – Sherown Campbell!
I came across Sherown on instagram. I’m not sure whether I found him or he found me, but I am pretty sure that we found each other through a fitness hashtag. This would not be so abnormal, if it weren’t for the fact that he was paralyzed from the neck down from a C4-C5 injury! The cover photo here is shown left to right before & after… That is not a mistake!
I imagine if you are anything like me, you are wondering about his story… That’s exactly why I asked him on the podcast! If you want to see him in action, here’s the video version of the podcast!

If you’re not the video watching type, let me help you out! I created a podcast instead of just videos because I have a hard time staying focused on longer videos, so it would be silly of me not to offer photos with accompanying audio! Of course, you can listen in the body of this podcast, but you can also listen (and subscribe – please! and leave positive ratings – please!) on ApplePodcasts and Stitcher!
Here are the pictures to go with it!
Amazed yet? Inspired? You definitely must check him out on social media, so you can watch him continue to progress, and watch him work crazy hard to get back to where he was before his accident! His website with the links to his social media is at this link!
Hopefully, you took part in the challenge Sherown issued last Friday… If not, check it out! And make sure that you share what you do for yourself with all the Bold Moves listeners by using the hashtag #BoldMovesFearlessFridays! I am sharing what I am doing on my snapchat!
By the time you read this, the giveaway from the first blog is over (and the winner was announced – you guessed it – on my snapchat!). But worry not! I am continuing the celebration with a second giveaway!
This time, I am giving away a Three Day Refresh Kit! This is the cleanse that I usually do quarterly (but I’m giving up this quarter’s cleanse for you!)… The first time I did it, I lost 7.5 pounds! And best of all – all of my unhealthy food cravings are gone by the end of the three days! Here’s the information on the Refresh!
But the winner will get one with vegan chocolate instead of whey chocolate above!

The biggest thing I have overcome is injuring my knees by overtraining and needing to take a lot of time off running. Frankly, I didn’t know if I would ever run again! This seems like pocket change compared to the story you shared! All battles are relative to the person…I took 6mo off running and slowly started up again. Now I am training for my second marathon 😀
Wow, that sounds really rough! Isn’t it crazy what perspective can do to your mindset about something, isn’t it? We can all do hard things, we just don’t always know what we are each capable of until we have to be! Good luck on that next marathon, and thanks for visiting and entering! 😉
Wow…what a guy! By overcoming a mountain of physical challenges is amazing, and I can’t believe that he is in the works of climbing a MOUNTAIN, literally! I am a very able bodied person, and I am not sure I could accomplish that! Wow.
What was the biggest thing you’ve ever overcome? A lot of things! I guess the biggest would have to be my heart condition.
What is something you’d love to hit the reset/refresh button on? Certain friendships that dissolved for unknown reasons.
Have you shared much of your story around your heart condition? I think that would inspire so many people! I can definitely identify with the second one! :/
What’s the biggest thing I had to overcome? I am lucky to say that I haven’t had a health issue that was really major that I had to heal or make adjustments for therefore my response seems so minor but here it is. I’ve always been a shy person, I don’t like when all eyes are on me it makes me nervous and I guess lack of confidence. I am still working on overcoming it but I work in the public so I am constantly seeing and working new people and getting better about starting conversation. I also have been working on being healthier and with that I am posting results and helping others who want to better their health as well with tips and workouts.
What is something I would like to hit the reset/refresh button on? I would say different friendships
Yeah, it definitely isn’t always health-related! Self-confidence can make a huge difference, and hopefully as your healthy habits continue, you will have even more confidence! I think a huge part of the key to this is making sure you step outside of your comfort zone and keep putting yourself into slightly uncomfortable positions where you can overcome it and grow your confidence bit by bit!
The restart/refresh button in the friendship world seems to be a common theme! As of now, that’s three of us who have mentioned that! I guess we can just do our best to use it as a learning experience!
The biggest thing I’ve overcome would probably be moving across the country by myself. Kind of a different obstacle, but something I needed to do to find myself and have new experience, and I definitely don’t regret it!
I’m with you there, too! Wisconsin to California! Your story is Ohio to Colorado, right? I think that’s a huge way to grow! Episode one of my podcast had a similar story of cross-country moves!
