This week’s guest, for Bold Moves Podcast Episode 137 Courtney Maiorino has done some serious, bold moves. Courtney was diagnosed with Crohn’s Disease in 2012 and had no idea how to help herself until she started studying health in college. While she studied lifestyle habits, behavior change, and complementary medicine modalities, she used herself as an “experiment” to see if these techniques would actually work on a “sick” person. After her passion for wellness only grew, Courtney became a Certified Holistic Health Coach in 2015 (through the Institute for Integrative Nutrition) and began a health coaching practice (with her twin sister who also lives with a chronic illness) so they can be there to guide patients towards love, healing and a world where they can thrive. The bold moves Courtney has made gave her the passion, determination and unwavering focus to make a huge positive impact on the world and help so many people live in harmony with their diseases and live their lives to the fullest potential. If you’re a longtime listener to the Bold Moves Podcast, you are probably thinking that a lot of parts of Courtney’s story sound a bit familiar – at least the concept of “taking your health into your own hands and self-experimentation.” That part really reminds me of the interview with my dear friend, Elle Russ, the best-selling author of Paleo Thyroid Solution!* If you don’t remember that interview, but are intrigued, check it out here!
