Well, hello! How is your January going? Mine is insanely busy, as I mentioned in my last post! 

I have, however, had the time for the fun of trying some new makeup products that Influenster sent me for free to review, so that has been exciting! 

There they are! The TruNaked Roses Palette, Oh Sugar lip balm, and the Plumpify Mascara! 

As a professional makeup artist, I am expected to have top quality items in my kit – both my personal makeup kit I use day-to-day, and my professional kit that I take to shoots, events, and TV and Movie sets! 

You might be surprised to hear that my kits aren’t composed solely of high end artistry, luxury, or Sephora-type brands, but rather a mix with a wide variety of price ranges! 

All that being said, I was still a little unsure when I received the Covergirl products! Here’s the video of my unboxing! 

I always love the way Influenster wraps my products! 😉 

I am in love with Periscope lately, so I just HAD to do a live trial. Here it is! 

Here’s the summary of the review: 

TruNaked Roses Palette: 

If you watched the live trial video, you can hear me say “Whoa!” when I first put on the eyeshadow. Yes, it’s that good! Super heavily pigmented, which is a pleasant surprise from a drugstore palette, especially at this price! Great color payoff! 

Oh Sugar! Lip Balm: 

I found this one to be just ok… But this is also not my go-to. I am much more of a gloss person than a balm person (even to sleep, because I’ve found a product that I feel traps moisture in like none other), so this wouldn’t be what makes me super excited. I don’t have any complaints for what it is, though! 

Plumpify Mascara: 

Mascara is something that I am traditionally a snob about – Benefit or Bust! But this also pleasantly surprised me. I think it’s pretty close to my favorites from Benefit, for less, and I like that it comes with the wand outside, so I could use the tube in my kit with disposable wands, without worrying about what to do with the wand in it in the meantime!
