For the past several months, many people in my social circle (a good portion of which is in the beauty/makeup industry) started buzzing about a new brand in beauty called Glamglow.
They make a few different products, but are most well-known for their facial muds – one that is for anti-aging, and one that is to deep clean pores – at least these are the products I hear about most when Glamglow comes up!
The brand was first used in Hollywood, on various sets for actors and actresses, by them personally, and by their makeup artists. From there, word spread, as did their product line.
I haven’t tried the products they are most well-known for. Right now, I am on a “decluttering” mission, and plan to try them later. I am also in a “save money” mission, which definitely affects my ability to purchase Glamglow, as the tubs of mud retail for $69.00 (but you can find them for less at stores like Marshall’s and TJ Maxx, if you’re lucky).
Part of the weird set of personal rules I’ve given myself against buying beauty products is that if I have anything left that is a similar product, I have to use it up or give it away before I can make room for something new.
I didn’t have any eye masques, so I gave Brightmud a shot.
Here are the claims of the product, as given by Sephora on their website (along with a chance to earn extra Beauty Insider points – Holla)!
I followed the directions – tap the product lightly on and under the eye, wait three minutes, and wipe off with a dry cloth.
I am not sure how helpful it was. I THINK I can see a difference, but ultimately am not so sure! Here are my results:
Ultimately, I might not yet be their target market. I know I don’t have a dark circles issue (these pictures are of course with no makeup). Because I don’t eat foods that cause inflammation, I don’t usually have a puffiness issue (unless my cat catches me on a wrong day, or I have a “cheat meal,” or don’t sleep or cry – most of these are quite rare)! So mostly, I was looking for fine line reduction, and I am not 100% that I got it.
The directions say to use the product 2-3 times per week, so I am going to keep using it and will report back, and we’ll see if results prove over time. Hopefully you’ll be seeing me age in reverse!

And once I am all situated with my beauty products embargo, I may just try the other muds!
What do you think? Do you see a difference?
