Well, it’s here! We have passed Halloween, and the day after, I already saw Christmas stuff in the stores – crazy!
Since this is going to be my first holiday season away from home, it already feels weird. It is definitely colder here in Palo Alto, but not cold enough where I feel like Thanksgiving is around the corner – but it IS!
I love the holidays for the same reasons everyone else does – fun, parties, delicious food… But if we aren’t careful, these things can easily catch up to us! Less sleep, less time for workouts, and poor nutrition choices and drinking all set us up for disaster – whether that is more illnesses/colds, fat gain, or both!

In order to combat the downside of the Holidays, I am going to bring back something I did last year! I am going to do a webinar/google hangout about how to have a healthier holiday! It will be Thursday, November 19th!
This is the recording from last year (which had more than its fair share of technical difficulties), and this year, I will review some of the old tips, and add some new ones I have been cooking up!
And then what?
Don’t worry! I am not going to give you the tips and say “Good luck, Bozo!” One, I would never call you a Bozo! Well, at least probably not. And two – I am all about helping people and support!
SOooooo…. Enter the 1-800-HolidayHelpline Bling facebook group. I have been laughing hysterically at Drake’s dancing in his video for Hotline Bling (and the parodies – oh! The parodies!) , and it inspired the name of this whole endeavor. But in the group, we will share workout tips, healthy recipe swaps, and try to motivate, encourage, and keep each other accountable through any Holidays you may be celebrating between now and the end of the year.

š It’s so hard to stay on track with the holidays! Thankfully my husband has a Marathon and I have several half marathons between January and April, so we will pretty much be forced to stay on track!
Totally! Yes, that should definitely help! I can’t imagine doing all that running – haha!
Great idea!! I am focused and not gonna gain a pound during this holiday season. I am looking forward to finishing off 2015 and bringing in 2016 with a bang!
