For Stress-Free September, I have made an effort to make sure that I think of ways to help people reduce stress. One stressor I thought of was social situations, and I came up with a way to help people feel better about them. Check out this video!
So, here is a list of questions that you can ask to keep the small talk part easier! If you can customize them because you know the person you will be speaking to ahead of time, that’s even better!
Some are generic:
What do you like to do for fun?
What do you do for work?
Where are you from?
Do you have family in the area?
What are your hobbies?
Some are a little more in depth or interesting:
If eight year old you could see years 9-your current age, would s/he be excited to grow up? Why or why not?
What was your favorite place you ever traveled to?
What is on your bucket list?
What are you excited about right now?
There’s also questions that I ask a few times a week on my facebook page – follow it to get new ideas and see the interesting discussions that result!
What are your tips for making social interaction easier?
xoxo,
Mandie
