Los Angeles Makeup Artist Portfolio Update

I think I’ve finally hit my stride since moving to LA! I have been really doing a lot of shoots and work as a makeup artist, which is why we’re beyond due for a Los Angeles Makeup Artist Portfolio Update! I am also taking the time to update my actual portfolio (not just the blog) though that still needs a lot of backtracking to get current… And I should probably share that I now have an instagram just for makeup artistry, after resisting it for so long! I realized that around here, aside from the jobs my agent has sent me, people look more at instagram pages than websites, so I relented, since most people probably don’t want to see posts about my podcast and such when they are deciding whether or not to book me as a makeup artist! I can’t remember whether I mentioned it in the post for my last update, so here it is now, just in case! So my personal instagram is still going strong, and I’ve added my makeup one to it – check it out, especially if you like seeing behind the scenes! Alright, without further ado, here’s my Los Angeles Makeup Artist Portfolio Update!
The shoot that was most exciting (according to my new instagram’s analytics), was with actor Timothy Granaderos from Netflix’s 13 Reasons Why (you’ll be way more familiar if you have seen both seasons) as well as a French husband and wife photographer/art director/stylist duo that I have worked with a few times now and LOVE working with, Remy and Anne Tortosa of Content by Art! Here are the three edits from that shoot (which was my second with them):

Next is another familiar photographer, John Allan, who I worked with before with Alexis, but this time, I am updating from two shoots – one with Nicole and Mackenna from Factor/Chosen (who were in town to work on their portfolios from Canada), and Alexia from No Ties!

I just adore clean beauty shots, especially with that youthful, dewy skin!

Speaking of… I got to do another beautiful grooming job on a kind and handsome aspiring actor, Brian, with a photographer who was new to me, Jared. Here are some of my favorites from that shoot (there are so many great pics to choose from!

I love skin that looks like…. skin! Sounds silly, but so many images are edited so much that you can’t see details that make us human!

Ok, one more set, from a face that’s definitely familiar if you’ve been around a while – Malynda Hale! She was a guest on my podcast, I did her makeup for the Grammys and a couple other red carpet events, as well as several other shoots! This time, we were shooting for her album (and its cover), which comes out June 22nd! Pre-orders begin June 15h – check out her site for details!

This time, we shot with Bri Childers, and Malynda was styled by Consider the Music! Stay tuned for more, as I am working with Malynda again very soon! I also did a video shoot with Malynda’s company with a band she put together, and I imagine I will get images from that soon!
