Are you surprised to see something other than a podcast in the “Motivation” category on here? I don’t blame you! That has been way more time-consuming than I expected, even with my amazing assistant’s help doing most of the editing for me! Anyway, it has been on my heart lately to do a Personal Development Book Club, so here we are!
Before I started Beachbody coaching*, I thought personal development was only for people with serious issues. I imagined lonely women taking breaks from their gallons of ice cream and 9586 cats to read books like “How to Stop Sucking At Life,” alone in their apartments, whilst crying.
I learned that I was SO far off there, and ended up falling in love with personal development! Now I see it the same way that I see seeing a therapist – smart people do it, because it is a tool to help you Be Better at life, and who couldn’t use a little bit of that?
I have huge goals, and I intend to reach them. Now that I am less active as a Beachbody coach, one of the things I miss most is leading my team, especially leading them through personal development books! So, that’s why I am bringing about this Personal Development Book Club!
If you’re interested and share the same feelings as I do on personal development, click here to join. It’s totally free. The only rules are that we all participate, and that we all respect each other, but I don’t know why anyone would want to be involved and not want to follow those rules!
At this time, I am not exactly sure what book this Personal Development Book Club will start with, but I have been listing MOST of the books* my podcast guests (who are all amazing, successful people who have done incredible things, so their judgment should be trusted!) at this link*, so I think I am going to suggest we select from one of those. Perhaps I will put it to a vote. So if you’re interested, make sure you join, so you can vote, too!
