I’ve had Mandie as my personal Makeup artist for the last 5 years. I met her on set of one of my first indie films and quite honestly was reluctant to have her do my face because as an African American women I've had so many makeup artists mess up my face and makeup because of their lack of experience with women of color. Mandie quickly proved me wrong. Not only is she incredible at what she does, has the experience to make all skin tones look amazing, she’s one of the kindest and funniest people you’ll ever meet. She’s been with me long enough to see my career blossom from makeshift shoots in living rooms all the way to the Grammys, red carpets and special events with other celebrities and A-listers.
