Woo, it has been a while! You’ve probably/possibly already seen my updates that share that we moved to Sacramento in September, which is a main reason why there’s been a break in podcast episodes (which I’ll share more about shortly)! But, I’m finally back with a new one for you, so I hope you enjoy Bold Moves Podcast Episode 301 Mandie Brice!
On episode 101, Hemad, another former podcast guest interviewed me. You can check out him interviewing me here, and then of course me interviewing him right here! I thought it would be good to revisit this idea for the 301st episode, too!
Nicole was one of the first podcast interviews I did (episode #25) because her story has always been inspiring to me! She left Milwaukee and moved to Denver, CO and ended up opening her own salon, which is a beautiful place!
She is a busy mom and entrepreneur, so like many friends, we don’t get to catch up as much as we would like to, especially living in different states, so I thought she’d be a great fit to turn the tables and interview me for the 301st episode!
You can listen to any of my podcasts on pretty much any podcasting platform there is – Apple Podcast, Spotify, iHeartRadio, and Stitcher to name a few!
Or, if you’d like to watch the conversation unfold, check it out on YouTube, which is embedded below!
There’s also an audio file at the bottom of this post that is available for listening, if you prefer, too!
We spoke about sweetberry wine, and if you’re not familiar with it, please check out this video:
Sweet Berry Wine! from Aaron Kelly on Vimeo.
I also mentioned a video where my husband Tommy is behind one of the Sacramento Kings who is on the bench eating French fries. Here that video is!
While Nicole and I spoke, we referenced an old photoshoot we did when we met, where she did my makeup. Here are some of those photos!
So fun! I was just a baby, and so was Nicole! The images where shot by Mark Kottke of Zion Imaging!
I am tempted to share some pictures from my and Nicole’s adventures together, but maybe I will save that for another post!
I mentioned that I had asked my audience to share questions they had for me to answer. I sent Nicole TONS of them before the interview, but it could have taken all day for us to answer them… See?
So, I decided I would make a separate video of me answering the rest of them. You can find that video here:
Here are the links that I mentioned in the video above:
There was a question about my morning routine… Here is the old, detailed post that has changed a bit and needs to be updated! Here’s an explanation of the ACV water I drink. I mention a planner I love, and there’s more info about that here!
I also talked about how to get out of a funk… Here’s one blog post I wrote about it, and here’s another! It’s funny – They were written about one month apart from each other, and it was when we first moved to California, which was tough for me because I had no friends or leads for work… I guess I found myself in a funk pretty often!
There was a question about what makeup product I can’t do without… I have a list of those for people who sign up for my makeup list here!
Another link I have is regarding podcasting... This is what I used to teach myself how to start the podcast (and it says it's updated for 2019 - yay!), and this is how to find Cianna, my amazing podcast VA who works all the technical magic!
One of the questions that I always ask my guests is to share book recommendations, and that sort of came up in the video above, but one of the things I am super excited about sharing is the compilation I've been working on where I'm putting all of the book recommendations together on one page, organized by category. You can see that here, but please keep in mind that it is definitely a work in progress!
On the same note, another page that is a work in progress is this one, which is the previous podcast episodes organized by category! So, if you want to check out a past episode and want a specific topic, this will be helpful!
There are some really exciting things in store for the time coming up soon, so please stay tuned! I'd also love if you subscribed to my email list, so you can stay in the know! You can do that here:
If you or someone you know would be a perfect podcast guest, please head here to fill out the guest form!
Ok, that's about it for now! Thank you for checking out this episode, and stay tuned for more!
xoxo,
Mandie
