Hello! Happy Day after Valentine’s Day! One of the most attractive traits people can have is confidence, which some people think people are born with. Well, guess what! Just like the women of the commercials use Maybelline (here’s a reference if you’re confused), confident people have tools, too! In our personal development online club, we have been reading a book called “Confident as F*ck” by past podcast guest Elle Russ, and now our discussion of the book is scheduled! It’s not too late to join us if you’d like to – just read as much as you can the next nine days! And to get you into the spirit, I’ve curated a playlist on Spotify to help your confidence, too! The book and the playlist are some media to become more confident!
As I mentioned, if you haven’t read the book yet, it’s not too late. You can get it at this link*, and get started! Even if you are only able to get through a couple chapters, you can still join us for the discussion!
We’d love to have you! Otherwise, if you’re seeing this after Monday, February 24th, of course you can still read the book and get a lot out of it, and join our group for future discussions!
As I mentioned, I created a playlist that I crowd-sourced from my facebook friends and instagram friends with songs that make us feel confident. So perhaps you can listen to this to get in the mood!
If you are doing us the pleasure of joining us, you can RSVP at this facebook event, join this group, and then I will share the Zoom link to join the discussion!
Or just join our group to be prepared for the next month’s book club!
Whatever path you choose, I hope either Elle’s book our this playlist help you boost your confidence!
As I mentioned in this confessional blog where I discussed impostor syndrome with Anne Fulenwilder, the former editor-in-chief of Marie Claire Magazine and founder of the Women Up event, confidence is definitely a skill to be learned and a muscle to be flexed, not just something that you’re born with (just like those Maybelline lashes)!
Cheers to more confidence in 2020!
xoxo,
Mandie
