Ahh, Mother. No, not my mom, Pat McGrath! Pat McGrath has been an inspiration to me for a long time, so when she launched her makeup line a few years ago, I was head over heels… But also living in LA and not making tons of money at the time, so I told myself “Mandie, you have to wait!” The waiting is over, and fortunately, (thanks to Influenster), I didn’t have to shell out any of my own hard-earned dough (which is excellent news during a pandemic)! I’d tried her mascara before (and it was just okay), but now that I have a full palette, it’s time to share more thoughts. So, here’s a Pat McGrath Celestial Divinity Palette Review!
First, since the palette was a gift, I must disclose that even though I received it in exchange for my opinions, I am sharing my honest opinion and they are my own, not a reflection of Influenster or Pat McGrath Labs. If you’re interested in joining Influenster, here’s my referral link. And if you’d like to see some of the other things they’ve sent me over the years, you can take a look at these blog posts!
Ok, on to the fun stuff – the palette itself!
Here’s a look I did on myself for Thanksgiving…
Here’s my comical attempt at a set of swatches…

(You can tell I am not a makeup influencer or YouTuber based upon how not awesomely that went!)
And here’s a little boomerang of what I was working with. Isn’t it beautiful?
Pat McGrath Celestial Divinity Palette Review
I am sure it comes as no surprise that I absolutely adore this palette. The colors are fun and highly pigmented, but still very wearable, even in soft glam or more natural looks (not just wild avant-garde).
My only mild complaint would be that it is probably not made with the natural, clean ingredients that I usually opt for for an every day use palette for me (that’s my “crunchy” side coming in) and Pat McGrath is definitely not known for sustainability in packaging.
If this is your first visit to this blog and this comment surprises you, I’ll share that I’m a professional makeup artist and use a separate set of products that need to perform super well when I am on set or doing makeup for an event, versus what I use for “day-to-day” on myself, which is generally a lot of products that have clean ingredients but don’t require the same level of performance, since I’m just living my everyday life (which lately rarely involves makeup since the pandemic!
Upon reading some other reviews online, I have seen people complain about the palette being dry, not wearing long, and having a lot of fallout. That wasn’t my experience at all, but I did pair the palette with my favorite eyeshadow primer, which may have helped. I have to wonder if there was a bad batch that escaped quality control or something regarding the dryness, because I found the one I receive to be perfect.
There you have it! My Pat McGrath Celestial Divinity Palette Review! I hope you found it helpful! If you’d like more info on how to do makeup, make sure you check out the ebook I wrote! I also have an online makeup course for beginners, which can currently be found here, but is getting moved to this site soon!
Cheers!
